- Having found that guests very much appreciate a large bathroom in our other apartment, which was renovated first, we continued in the same manner in the Kingfisher apartment. There were some fascinating half-round cupboards existing already in this space, and we have been careful to intergrate them into the main bathroom as a feature. We decided to build a second shower room on this floor so each bedroom has its own bath/shower room.

Bedroom 2 - 1 double, 1 twin/ single
- There are 2 bedrooms, one overlooking the waterfront, sleeping 2 and 3 people. Having tried various formats we have finally decided on having two twin single beds that made be pushed together to form a large double bed if wished. Using his joinery skills Jonathan has made the beds, and we have bought firm latex mattresses as been generally the most appreciated to give a good nights' sleep. At the moment the 2nd bedroom has a large double bed and we are adding a single bed, for a child or adult. Both bedrooms are big enough to double up as sitting areas, for private reading or internet use. Next to the master bedroom is a small room which can be used as a study, or reading room; it has internet access. It leads onto the terrace where people love to sit and soak up the sun in privacy.
