Location
This Tuscany villa rental is located just 2 km outside of Rufina, a little village famous primarily for its Chianti Rufina, a fragrant, medium-bodied wine. Here you will be able to enjoy the local atmosphere, go wine-tasting, find some shops for basic supplies, and catch the train, which runs regularly to Florence via nearby Pontassieve. In fact, it may be better to catch the train in Pontassieve, and enjoy exploring some of this town as well! Pontassieve was historically important for its bridge (or ponta) over the river Sieve. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times, but today you can see the "Medici bridge," built in the late 1500's. There are also three 14th century city gates as well as bits of the old city walls. The entire area is noted for its variety of natural life and a smattering of churches, which makes it a great place for hiking and strolling in the countryside. Of course the primary attraction of the greater area is the majestic city of Florence, world-renowned for its art and culture. Go here to shop the Ponte Vecchio, marvel at the statue of David, or tour the wonders of the Uffizi Gallery. Of course, you could also simply relax in one of the squares with a book or a latte.

Beautiful recently restored farmhouse (240 m2), part of a property rich in vineyards. Beautiful view overlooking the surrounding hills and vineyards. Peaceful position. In a small meadow below there is a swimming pool (12x5) that is well equipped, pizza oven. Behind the villa is a small apartment with independent access and garden that is reserved for the owners. Access to the house along approx. 200 m of dirt track road in excellent condition. It is possible to be picked up at the Pontassieve or Rufina train stations. Parking.

LOCATION: 2 km the village of Rufina (all kinds of shops, tennis). 10 km from Pontassieve, 30 km from Florence, easily accessible also by train from the Pontassieve train station with departures every half hour. The area is very close to Mugello, in fact, in the proximity of only 30 km it is possible to reach renowned and charming villages, such as Scarperia (known for its knife making), Borgo S. Lorenzo, Vicchio di Mugello.
