The palazzo housing this Florence apartment is situated on the south side of the Arno River in the Oltrarno district of Florence. On one side, the accommodation in Florence overlooks the Arno and the Uffizi Gallery, and on the other side, the via de'Bardi. In the neighborhood you'll find food shops, clothing stores, and restaurants.

Exterior Description
This palazzo dates back to the 15th century, when the banks of the Arno River were flanked by palazzi (palaces) belonging to patrician families such as the Bardis. The edifice was modified over the centuries until the mid-19th century, when a famous architect, Enrico Poggi, endeavored to transform Florence into a capital city. He modeled the palazzo after the Lungarno Torrigiani area in order to maintain the classical renaissance color palette of cream plaster and gray ?pietra serena? stone, which is visible in so many buildings throughout the city.

Interior Description
(75 m2) Mezzanine floor: This is a recently refurbished apartment overlooking the Arno River. The apartment is furnished to a high standard and has wonderful views. The apartment is situated seven steps up from the ground floor and consists of a spacious entrance, which is five steps up from the front door; a living/dining room with two sofas, a writing desk, and a round table for 4-6 people; a twin-bedded room, which can be converted to a double bed; a modern eat-in kitchen with a table for 4; and a large bathroom with tub and hand held shower. Both the bedroom and living room have small windows with full views of the Arno and the Uffizi Gallery. If the windows are open it can be noisy; there are no screens. The light, natural wood ceilings have been carefully restored, as have the floors. The furnishings are a mixture of modern and antique. The entrance is decorated with frescos depicting climbing vines, plants and bamboo.
