Location
This villa is in an excellent location for visiting both north and south Tuscany. Monte San Quirico, the nearest village, has grocery shops, a pizzeria, gas station, post office, and pharmacy. There are also very good restaurants and trattorias in the area. Also just a short drive away is the walled city of Lucca. This jewel is worth enjoying simply for its medieval charm, but there are also a number of interesting sights to visit, as well as a great antique market held on the third Sunday of each month. The Duomo di San Martino and the Church of San Michele in Foro are both gorgeous examples of period architecture, while the Casa di Puccini, where the composer was born, has been transformed into a small museum in his honor. You can also climb the 130 foot Torre Guinigi, but on the other hand viewing the tree-topped tower from below might be just as enjoyable? and a lot less work!

Exterior Description
This villa is surrounded by a large garden, which is in turn surrounded by an old stone wall and scattered with old terracotta lemon tree pots. A vine-covered terrace on the back of the villa, with a long dining table for al fresco meals, looks over the private swimming pool (5m x 10m). The pool is above-ground, but set into a wooden terrace at the same height as the edge of the pool. There is also a barbecue area. The owner lives in another house next to the villa, which has a completely independent entrance and garden.

Interior Description
Ground Floor: Entering into this elegant villa, you will find yourself in a large entrance hall with wood paneling, bench seats, and open-beam ceilings. The first door to the right leads into a casual living room with satellite TV, CD player, and a desk with a computer and internet connection. The second door to the right leads into a kitchen, equipped with an oven, cook-top, and dishwasher in addition to a dining table for six or eight. Between the living room and the kitchen there is a guest bath with sink and toilet. The first door to the left from the entrance hall leads into a large formal dining table with a beautiful long wooden table and wood paneling throughout the room. An open doorway from this dining room leads into a card room with a green-felt card table, writing desk, and armchairs.

First Floor: Going straight to the back of the entrance hall on the ground floor, a doorway leads into the stairwell which goes upstairs to the first floor. Here there is an absolutely gorgeous salon, completely frescoed in lacy pastel pinks and blues. Doors lead off of this room to four bedrooms. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and hydro-massage tub. The second bedroom has two single beds and an en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The third bedroom has two single beds, while the fourth bedroom-- accessed through the third-- has a 160 cm queen size bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a sink, toilet, bathtub, and shower, located between the two rooms. Therefore the third and fourth bedrooms would best be suited to a couple with children.
Second Floor: Upstairs, there is yet another large living area branching off into four more bedrooms. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The second bedroom has two single beds and an en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The third and fourth bedrooms each have two single beds. The fourth bedroom is accessed through the third, and between them is a bathroom with a sink, toilet, tub, and shower. These bedrooms would be best suited to a couple with children, or 4 young people.
