The apartment is located in the Etruscan town of Cortona, directly above the ancient walls that surround it. This hilltop town is full of art, history, and culture. Cortona's main square, the Piazza della Repubblica, is 100 meters from the apartment and has cobblestone streets and alleys leading the most interesting places in town. There is the renowned Palazzo Comunale, a 13th century building featuring a tower dating back to the year 1503, the 11th-century Duomo, and the Museo Civico, which features a wide collection of Etruscan, Greek, and Egyptian finds. In Cortona, you are also sure to find ancient tombs dating back to the second century BC, restaurants featuring delicious Tuscan dishes, and plenty of shops ranging from antiques and crafts, to wines and olive oils. This restored apartment is situated above the walls that surround Cortona, as well as the busy market square Piazza del Mercato. There is a private terrace offering beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. The terrace is furnished with a table, chairs, and an umbrella, and separates the main house from an independent sitting/living room. The apartment is situated near the entrance of one of the city's five gates. Free parking is available just outside the town's walls. This apartment is built on many levels!

First floor: Twenty-one steps higher from the entrance/landing is the living room with sofa bed, suitable for one, armchair, desk, satellite TV, and a decorative fireplace. There is also access to the terrace. On the other side of this floor is the dining room and kitchen, which is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, tea kettle, toaster, American coffee maker, and Italian coffee maker, as well as access to the terrace. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The terrace leads to an independent sitting room with several armchairs and a telephone.
Second floor: Fourteen steps higher are two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has a 90 cm single bed.
