This apartment is located literally right outside of Cortona; starting from Cortona's main piazza, a walk down the main pedestrian street will end at a ring road. Pass the church, cross the road, and unlock the door to your own secret garden! For those familiar with the city, it is located just across the street from the beautiful Parterre Garden. It is usually possible to find parking down the street from the apartment. Built high on a hill, Cortona has been made famous by Under the Tuscan Sun. It is absolutely beautiful from below... and once you get to the top, there are simply marvelous vistas over the entire valley. For this reason, Cortona is a town for walkers. Streets run either uphill or down, and there are plenty of historic sights dotting the hillside just begging to be explored on foot. A nearby train station (Terontola Cortona) makes taking day trips to other major cities simple and convenient.

Exterior Description
(90 m2) Running along a wall just outside of Cortona are a few little doors; unlock this one and go down the stone stairs (the steps are steep; there is a light for night-time entry) into your own little secret garden. Here you'll find a table with wrought-iron chairs underneath a shady tree, as well as a beautifully kept private garden surrounded by ancient stone walls (the garden is now more mature than shown in the photos). You can sit and have a glass of wine in the afternoon as you watch birds and insects enjoy the greenery-- along with the occasional trespassing cat-- or barbecue dinner on the grill. A few more steps go down from the garden to the front door of this apartment.

Interior Description
(80 m2) Ground Floor: After coming down the steps into the garden and then another half-flight to the front door, you will enter into a hallway. Immediately to your right is a dining room with a table for four, and through an open door is a very small kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, cook-top, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee maker, and Italian coffee maker. Continuing down the front hall, you will find yourself in a large living room with a sofa-bed (suitable for one), TV, and a bookshelf with some English titles. A half-step up through a door in the living room leads into a kind of ante-room, furnished with two comfortable armchairs and a lamp. On one side of this room is the door to the bedroom, which has a 180 cm king-size bed. Another door from the ante-room leads into the bathroom, which has a sink, toilet, bidet, and bathtub with handheld showerhead.
