Varenna is a lovely picturesque medieval village wedget on a promontory in the centre of Lake Como exactly in front of Bellagio and Menaggio surrounded by the Italian Alps. MARILENA HOUSE IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF VARENNA 150 METERS FROM THE FERRY DOCK AND 300 METERS FROM TRAIN STATION: from 7 to 30m shops, bars and restaurants, beach and walking-way which leads in 150 meters to the ferry dock where one can take boats to visit the other villages around the lake. Train station is only 300 meters far people really DO NOT NEED TO RENT A CAR. Villa Monastero and Cipressi gardens offer an unforgettable memory of yr. staying.

I never ask any security deposit as all the previous clients always respected the apartments.
Preferably weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday, minimum stay of 3-4 nights only if possible. Prices include towels, bed linen, electricity, but not heating which is the only extra cost and the cheapest we have in Italy: Price heating 1 Euro/ each cubic meter. There is a metered gas in the apartment so clients only pay what they need. . Prices in Euro from 360 weekly low season to 700 high season .
Cleaning fees, electricity gas (not heating) included in price.

- Central apartment in Varenna,only 30 meters from the center of the port and the walking way which leads to the ferry dock in 150 meters walk and 300 meters from train station . The town is well known for its Villa Monastero and Cipressi (only 70 meters from the Marilena house) for its international nuclear physic and medical conferences, the long gardens offer an unforgetable souvenir also to the people coming to marry in Varenna. Many wedings at the historic San Giorgio Church and at The villa Cipressi. Varenna is exactly in the centre of Lake Como between Lecco and Colico and it is the only one town of Lake Como where all the fast trains from and to Milan stop. All the ferries for pedestrian and people with cars also stop in Varenna. First choice restaurants in Varenna ''La Contrada by Villa Cipressi ,''4 Passi' and best Pizza and lasagne at 'Il sole'in the Church Square. From the Vezio Tower Castle people can have a wonderful lakeview and a delicious dinner at the local trattoria.

The Marilena apartment is in the historic centre inside completely restored: there is also a handicap accessible stairway from the main entrance to the second floor for clients with walking-problems.
The owner Marilena is living on the first floor of the central apartment and always at disposal to the needs of the clients. Pizzeria and restaurants, shops, coffees , pharmacy , internet point everything you need , foreign newspaper only at 7 meters far from the house. Travel cot and high chairs for babies. Free beaches only at 30 meters.
Ferries at 150 meters , train station at 300 meter, where all the fast trains from Milan stop as centre of Lake como.
