Brief Description: This 7,000 square foot, seven bedroom mountain lodge has just about every amenity you could want--including an indoor swimming pool! It's the perfect spot for a family reunion or a gathering of friends as it has plenty of space and it's close to everything that Big Sky Resort has to offer--from fishing, hiking, river rafting, horseback riding and golf in the summer, to nordic and alpine skiing, snowmobiling and snow shoeing in the winter.

General location and setting: The lodge is nestled in the trees on a private, hillside overlooking the Meadow Village at Big Sky Resort, midway between Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park.

Style and decor: The lodge is decorated with casual, Western style furnishings and is comfortably spread out over two levels.

Size of the home: 7000 square feet, with an attached three car garage.

Bedrooms/bathrooms: The lodge has eight bedrooms, seven full baths and one half bath. The upper level has four bedrooms. The large master suite has a queen size bed, television and a private bath with a large whirlpool tub. The other three bedrooms have one queen, two twins, and one full. There is a shared bathroom between these three bedrooms. The lower level has four private suites, each with their own private bath. The first suite has a queen size bed. The second suite also has a queen size bed. The third suite has two twins. The four suite has one set of bunk beds and a trundle bed that makes two twins. There is additional sleeping space on a fold out couch in the family room. The other full bath in the home is in the indoor pool area, with a shower for rinsing off after swimming. There is also a half bath near the kitchen and living areas upstairs.

The home has a full size crib, porta crib, two high chairs and a couple of single cots available for guests.

Kitchen: The large, sunny kitchen has an electric range and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a breakfast area which seats six, a bar counter which seats three, and sliding doors to the deck and barbecue area.

Dining room: The large dining room table seats twelve comfortably (additional seating for up to nine is available in the kitchen). In case anyone in the group desires, a grand piano in the living area could provide some musical entertainment.

Living room: The living room has plenty of comfortable furniture and aa fireplace. A baby grand piano is located in the living/dining area. There are sliding doors that lead out to the deck from the living and dining areas.

Special amenities: Sweetgrass Lodge has high speed wireless internet available through the whole house - just bring your laptop! There is a family room with a VCR and a big screen TV that gets 100+ satellite channels, plus there is a huge library of DVD movies for your entertainment. The rec room downstairs has a tournament size pool table and a fireplace. The 16 by 30 foot indoor pool is a centerpiece of the lodge. The pool room can be locked off from the main house so that parents don't have to worry about children playing around the pool area unattended. There's also a steam room and an indoor hot tub.

Outdoor amenities: A large deck on the upper and lower levels overlooking the valley,a gas barbecue grill.

Services available: The rental rate includes an end of stay cleaning. For guests who stay two weeks or more, a weekly cleaning will be done. Additional housekeeping, as well as catering service, and grocery shopping can be arranged with a bit of prior notice.

Activities nearby: There is so much to do! Alpine and nordic skiing at two world class resorts (Big Sky and Lone Mountain Ranch) are just minutes away. In the summer Big Sky offers golf, tennis, fishing, hiking, river rafting and horseback riding. Yellowstone National Park is just to the south--and is a wonderful place to visit summer and winter. Bozeman is a fun, small university town with interesting shops and galleries.

Distance to town: It's just a short walk down the hill to Big Sky's Meadow Village, and about a one hour drive to Bozeman. Bozeman's Gallatin Field is just over an hour drive away.

Other details: No smoking is allowed in the home. No pets are allowed on the property or in the home. The lodge has a private phone, a fax machine (on request from guests) and a full laundry room for guest use. All Mountain Home properties have fully equipped kitchens, and include good quality kitchen, bath and bed linens, and staples like paper goods, laundry, dish and hand soaps.
