A pair of old stone coastguard cottages renovated to a high standard in a unique setting 25 yards from their own shingle beach with breathtaking views over the lovely Kenmare Estuary off the southern tip of the beautiful 'Ring of Kerry' in south-west Ireland. Per Cottage can be rented throughout the year as 2 separate units or one interconnecting cottage. West End sleeps up to 7 in 3 bedrooms and East End up to 4 - 1 double 1 twin. The countryside immediately surrounding Castlecove is ideally suited for all types of walking, ranging from gentle strolls along lovely sandy beaches to more serious hikes over craggy hills. The famous 'Kerry Way' walk takes you along the ridge of hills, all the way from Waterville to Kenmare and is well signed, but still wonderfully unspoiled. You can swim, row and shrimp by the cottage or just relax and watch the seals!. There are several sandy beaches within ten minutes drive.

    It is an express condition of the booking that the Proprietor is not responsible for any loss or damage which may be sustained by tenants or their visitors.
    If the cottage is not claimed by 10pm on the due day of arrival, it will be re-let without further reference to the clients, except when prior notice has been given.
    The cottage must be left tidy. Any damage or breakages must be paid for before departure and Katherine Casey (the caretaker), is entitled to fix the amount due.

    CANCELLATIONS
    In the event of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable. However, if the balance of the full rental has been received, then this will be repaid if the property is subsequently re-let (less 10% administration costs).

There are living facilities ie kitchen, dining and lounge areas in both ends (but can be rearranged to suit different parties). Some like eating in one end and relaxing in the other and some - especially when mixed generations are sharing - like the option of having the two separate living areas. This makes the accommodation very flexible.
