  • Rates include cleaning and laundry before and after visit. Electricity and water are included in the rates. During the winter months, or cold spells during the other seasons, a central heating surcharge will apply. Please clarify the details with the owners. A fully refundable security deposit of Euros 300.00 will apply to all bookings unless otherwise arranged with the owners. This amount is payable 4 -6 weeks prior to arrival at the villa. The deposit will be refunded within 7 working days after leaving the villa.
    Booking minimum: 1 week Payment by bank transfer: 30% deposit on confirmation of booking. Balance 70% is payable 60 days before arrival or as arranged with the owner. Rental charges during the Christmas / New Year and Easter break will be at peak rates. All other bank holidays, including the busy half-term school breaks will be charged at the normal advertised tariff.

Notes: The dining area is well appointed and is furnished with a 6 seat dining table that will seat 8 if extended. The dining room overlooks the pool area, as well. The kitchen is off the dining area and equipped with Hob, Oven and extractor, dishwasher and fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. The bedrooms, lounge and diner lead out onto large terraces that overlook the swimming pool to the front and the green to the rear of the property. The BBQ area is at the rear of the property and is well equipped. It can be accessed from any of the rooms at the rear of the house or from the exterior. The villa has ample parking facilities and is a 7 minute walk to the lagoon or a 3 minute drive to the beach. The nearest cafe and other local shops are a 3 minute walk away.

Things to do nearby: The Lagoon offers a variety of water sports e.g. canoeing, kite and wind-surfing, sailing, water-skiing if that's your preference and you can book them through this very site too. New and paved walking running and cycling paths can be used to take full advantage of a calorie burning afternoon. Caldas da Rainha, the historically well known thermal city can be reached within a 10 minute drive and here you can shop in the daily fruit, vegetable and flower market where you'll find the best the region has to offer in terms of fresh produce. There are also many hypermarkets in the area to stock up on daily provisions.

Things to do further away: Lisbon City and airport is only a 50 minute drive. Don't forget to visit the medieval castle and walled city of Obidos. Wine tours and various visits to neighbouring and historically fascinating towns and villages can also be booked directly through this site e.g. Nazare, Alcobaca and the magnificent horseshoe bay of San Martinho do Porto. The Shrine of Fatima is less than 45 mins away.Sintra has become a major tourist attraction, with many day-trippers visiting from nearby Lisbon. Attractions include the fabulous Pena Palace (19th c.) and the Castelo dos Mouros (reconstructed 19th c.) with a breath-taking view of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, and the summer residence of the kings of Portugal Palácio Nacional de Sintra (largely 15th/16th c.), in the town itself. The Sunday market at Santa Anna is a must when you visit the area as it gives you a flavour of local produce markets and whatever you do, do not forget to sample the piri piri chicken. Market closes by 2PM.

Suggested Itineraries: Tomar - Templar Castle – must see Lisbon – day trip or stay over – take a ride on the local trams. Sintra Cascais and Estoril – very picturesque, lots of interesting shops and nice walks around the towns. Lots of English and Irish pubs.
