- The cottage is 1200 sq. ft. with central heat and air conditioning and sleeps 1-4 persons and has two charming cottage bedrooms decorated in an island style and a traditional sleeping porch with trundle bed housing two single mattresses. The cottage was completely restored in 2006; Sun deck; Screened Dining Porch; Parking space for 1 boat with trailer; WIFI; Cortez cottage is a a quiet historic, tropical island fisherman’s cottage 100 yards from Sarasota Bay and 0.3 miles to the Bradenton Beach and minutes from Anna Maria Island. The Shack, completely restored in 2007, is an additional studio cottage which provides a further 280 sq. ft. of private space with air conditioning. It sleeps 1-2 persons with full-size sleeper sofa, bathroom with shower and has it own private entrance along with outside access to the deck. NOTE: The Shack is not available for rent on its own.
