Notes: 100 foot wooded lot fronting on the bay. The deck on the water side looks down over the sandy beach and water only feet away. Located in a quiet beach community with closest cottages 200 feet away on one side, 300 on the other. Important to maintain slow speeds on half-mile dirt road from highway to cottage as families, children and pets may be on the road and neighbors value peace and quiet. No smoking indoors or out. The water in the Bay can be anything from flat to very wavy. Because the cottage faces out toward the mouth of Traverse Bay, the occasional large storms coming in from Lake Michigan make mooring boats in front of the cottage impractical. We supply three kayaks and a paddle boat that can be pulled up on the sand (as well as open water rowing shells for the experienced rower). There is a Hobie Cat on the shore that experienced sailors (experienced only - please!) may use. Due to the history of this beach community, jet ski use is rare and quiet (far from shore).
