Area : Our manager is very helpful. She will even stock the fridge before you arrive! You can buy fresh fish for your supper, right off the boats, from the Cooperativa only a two minute walk down the road or, if you prefer, you can go to one of the many restaurants within a few minutes drive. For all your grocery needs, Jaco boasts a new, very modern grocery store. We are five minutes from Carara Biological Reserve where you are able to hike for hours and view the nesting boxes of the macaws. You will also see many other varieties of birds and animals. We are only 20 minutes north of Jaco, a major surfing area, and an easy one hour and 45 minute drive north of the beautiful Manuel Antonio Park where you can see white-faced and spider monkeys swinging through the trees, or perhaps a sloth, moving in slow motion through the branches. If you are looking for a home away from home, where you can get in touch with nature & see the real Costa Rica, look no further than 'Casa Sammie.

Amenities and Activities: We now have a raised gazebo at the side of the house for amazing views of the Pacific & the sunset. At the back is a large covered patio and a beautiful private pool. We've recently added a bodega next to the house with an additional bathroom and a roomy bedroom that sleeps 2 more people. Very nice & private. Phone, Satellite TV, Full Kitchen, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Refrigerator, Blender, Toaster, Cooking Utensils provided, Linens and towels provided, Clothes Washer, Charcoal Grill (BBQ), Maid Service available for a small fee, Hot Showers & hot water in the kitchen. Activities: Hiking in Carara Park, Golf, Fishing, Wildlife Viewing, Horseback Riding, Sightseeing, Swimming, Surfing, Birdwatching, Zip Line Canopy Tours, Butterfly Farm, Gorgeous Waterfall - hike to the bottom and swim in the natural pools, Crocodile Tours. Area: We are only a 1 1/2 hr. drive from the airport in San Jose and, as we are in a central location, it is easy to take many tours and excursions
