Activities: 30 minutes to Hilo or Volcano National Park; Hot Pond on the Red Road, Black Sand Beach in Kalapana; 1 hour to the active lava flows or the tropical Waipio valley along the Hamakua coast; snorkeling near Hilo or Tidepools near Kapoho; visit Orchid, Coffee, Anthurium & Macadamia Farms or the Tropical Panaewa Zoo. It takes about 2 hours to Kailua-Kona, Kona International Airport, Waikoloa and other resorts whether you take the south (Hwy 11) or north route (Hwy 19).
Amenities: Dining areas inside with garden view to the lanai/ocean and the courtyard. Outside: courtyard, the lanai or in the Gazebo. Comfortable outside patio furniture. The kitchen is a gourmet cook's dream, everything at your fingertips including a basic supply of condiments. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms, Louver windows for excellent circulation. Large Washer and Dryer. Linens, Bath and Beach towels are provided for your use. (Beach umbrella, chairs and coolers are available) Queen Beds in each bedroom. 32-inch TV with Dish Network Satellite, DVD, VCR, CD Players upstairs. DSL Hawaiian TEL wireless connection for use with your laptop and telephone at the same time it works even out in the Gazebo. Hawaiian Telephone service. Gas BBQ. Two bicycles to ride along the ocean for exercise. A collection of DVDs CDs Some DVDs and books on Hawaii and the Big Island. The book 'Big Island revealed' gives you the Kamaina (local) scoop on what to do on the Big Island. Mahalo for not smoking inside. No Pets.
Golf: The Big Island features many golf courses from sea level to 3000 ' level including municipal courses.
