This charming cottage is on a private road and has 360' of water frontage. It includes a dock and is situated on 4 acres of land on the Seneca River, which is the natural path of the famous Erie Canal. There’s waterway access to the Finger Lakes (Seneca Lake, Cayuga Lake, Cross Lake to name a few.) It was built in 1992 so everything is very new and complete; all you have to bring is your food and yourselves! It has 4 bedrooms, (2 of the bedrooms have private balconies), fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining area and a large porch. There's a king size bed, queen, 2 bunks, a full, and the sofa in the living room contains a queen size pull out bed. It features a corner fireplace, an outdoor campfire area, and has an outdoor grill for cooking. The cottage comes with a dock and a boat launch. The cottage sleeps 10 comfortably. A fishing boat with motor, a rowboat, 2 kayaks, a canoe, and 4 bikes can be rented. The area is full of history that is yours to explore.

We are located on the Seneca River which connects the Finger Lakes. By boat, you could travel to Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake, Cross Lake, just to name a few. Nearby, is the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and Howland Island is a stone's throw from our cottage. It offers hiking, biking, and is filled with ponds and wild life. There are many wineries nearby, the Women's Heritage Trail, Watkins Glen that is famed for the Grand Prix, Niagara Falls (2 1/2 hrs. away), the Mormon Pageant in nearby Palmyra, tony village of Skaneateles, Sterling which hosts the Renaissance Festival, Filmore Glen, Auburn (Seward House, Tiffany Chapel, and the Harriet Tubman Home).

  • June, July, and August are $1200 per week. May (before Memorial Day) and September (after Labor Day) are $900 per week. Daily rates are $250 or $175 respectively requiring a 2 night minimum. Payment of 1/2 the rental amount is due within 7 days of booking. Balance and a $200 refundable deposit is due within 30 days prior to arrival. WE DO NOT CHARGE A CLEANING FEE AND WE PROVIDE ALL THE LINENS AND PAPER PRODUCTS. WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR EXTRA PEOPLE.

    Discounted rates: 10% off for 2 week bookings; 15% off for 3 week bookings; 20% off for 4 or more weeks.

    Refunds are not given for cancellations unless property can be re-rented for the same week. If property is re-rented, a refund will be given less a 25% cancellation fee.

    Check in is 3 PM Saturday, check out is 10 AM the following Saturday.

    Rentals per week are: fishing boat - $275 (gas included with an extra tank); per bike - $15; canoe or rowboat - $75; per kayak - $50.

    Dogs: $80 per week; Cats: $50 per wee
  • Weekly rates are $900 to $1200. Daily rates are $175 to $250 with a 2 night minimum.

Notes: There is a collection of brochures that offer a variety of things to do in the area. You will not be bored!. A porta crib can be provided for the asking. Pets will be considered (if they are housebroken and cleaned up after) for an extra fee of $80 per dog and $50 per cat.


Seneca Lake Cottage Details

This cottage is ideal for fishing and hunting. In the fall, the foliage is eye catching and bird watchers will be in awe! You will have a wonderful vacation no matter if it's rainy or sunny. It's an easy commute to work in Rochester or Syracuse. There's a telephone, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stereo, CD player, TV with VCR/DVD, dock, fire pit for a bonfire, corner fireplace (wood is available for purchase), an outdoor grill, air conditioned, individual heat controls, cable television with HBO, on wooded 4 acres, and private balconies off the two upper bedrooms. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Boat launch is on the cottage property. There are hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining area. The enclosed porch has a wood floor. All the linens, towels, dishwashing soap, etc. are provided. For rental are: a canoe, 2 kayaks, 4 bikes, and a fishing boat with a motor. This cottage offers swimming, fishing and hunting.

It is situated on a large lot that can be used for tenting, Badminton, and campfires. You can also go hiking or biking on Howland Island which is a wildlife management area owned by New York State that has 3,600 private acres and is within view of the cottage. BR B Area: /B BR Located on the Seneca River (the natural part of the Seneca-Cayuga & Erie Canal) that connects to the Finger Lakes. Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and Howland Island owned by New York State is nearby. A little over an hour away is a casino, Women's Heritage Trail in Seneca Falls, Seneca Lake Wineries, Cayuga Lake Wineries, Watkins Glen, Ithaca, Mackenzie Child's Victorian Factory and Bass Pro Shopping Center. The property is located 40 minutes from Syracuse (great shopping which features the pending Destiny Mall, it'll be the largest mall in America when completed, theatres, museums, etc.); Rochester is 60 minutes away (also great shopping, theatres, and museums).

A trip to Niagara Falls is within a day’s activities. A short drive away, the charming, very exclusive town of Skaneateles awaits you. This is a resort area well known for its multimillion-dollar cottages, spas, etc. (the Clintons vacationed there when he was President). Nearby, is the famous Renaissance Festival in Sterling, NY, which is an old tyme English faire. Also, in nearby Palmyra, there is the Joseph Smith Farm and the famous Mormon Pageant, a world renowned religious play. Within a short drive, you can be at Taughannock Falls (higher than Niagara Falls), Filmore Glen - as in President Filmore, nearby Auburn that has the Harriet Tubman Home and the Seward House and you can also visit the breathtaking cliffs of Fairhaven State Park on Sodus Bay. The Finger Lakes are in a setting of 9,000 square miles and consist of 11 lakes and over 1000 waterfalls with numerous gorges. THE COTTAGE IS IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THIS SPLENDOR!
