Briarcliff House Summary

'Luna Azul' (blue moon) is a privately owned waterfront home, tastefully decorated and furnished, on the south shore of Lake Travis. It has spectacular 180 degree views of a 4-mile stretch of Lake Travis and the Texas Hill Country. Watch both the sunrise and the sunset from a large north-facing covered deck. The 2 acre tree covered lot has 200 feet of lake frontage and a private covered boat dock in deep, clear water for boating, swimming and fishing. The home sleeps 8 comfortably in 2 bedrooms, (each with a queen size bed), a large sleeping loft (with a queen and two single beds) and a full sized sleeper sofa in the living room. It has 2 full baths, each with a tub/shower. The living and dining areas are open to a spacious and fully equipped kitchen, and each has expansive windows on the large covered deck overlooking the lake. The signature 'blue moon' light is even visible from the lake below.

Luna Azul is situated in the majestic Texas Hill Country, along the deep channel side of Lake Travis. It is located 35 minutes west of Austin on the south shore of Lake Travis just downriver (east) from Briarcliff and directly across the lake (south) from Lago Vista. Directions: Take Highway 71 west from Austin Go 10.7 miles west of RR 620, then turn right on FM 2322 Go 2.3 miles, then turn right on Bee Creek Road. Go 1.5 miles, then turn left on Thurman Bend Road. Go 2.4 miles, then turn left on Skyline Drive. (at 'Lakewood Estates' entrance) . Go 0.2 miles, then turn left at Lakeshore Drive West. Go two blocks to 21016 Lakeshore Drive West. The boat launch is at the bottom of the hill on Skyline Drive. Just take Lakeshore Drive back to Skyline Drive and turn left.

Briarcliff House Rates

  • $275-450/Night
  • Payment: Reservations are confirmed when ½ of the total rental is received, with the balance due at check-in. For rental payment we accept Visa & MasterCard, Cash, or Checks & Money Orders made payable to Austin Lakeside Properties – mailed to 22658 Felicia Drive, Briarcliff TX 78669. If paying by check, it must be received within 7 days of telephone booking.

    Damage Deposits: A valid Credit Card, from the responsible person for the rental, is required ON all reservations for the security damage deposit. Credit Card number will be verified and damage deposit authorized at time of check-in ($300/Condo or $500/house). If there are no damages or other fees (excessive cleaning fee, lost key fee, lost item return fee) – then nothing will be charged to your Credit Card. However renters are financially responsible for all damages to the house and grounds, and the Credit Card on file can be charged to cover these damages.
  • Cancellation Policy: If you cancel once you have a confirmed reservation, a $25.00 Cancellation Fee will be charged to your Credit Card. Cancellations must be made by phone “person to person”. No voice messages or e-mails will be accepted for cancellations. If canceled less than 30 days before the rental – you will be charged ½ of the total rental. If canceled less than 14 days before the rental, or you “no show” – you will be charged for the full rental price. If we can re-rent the property for your dates – you will only be charged the cancellation fee.

Briarcliff House Details

Luna Azul Features: The home has a color TV with cable, VCR, stereo with CD, telephone, gas grill, washer and dryer and a one car garage available for your use. There is ample off-street parking for friends, and both a stairway and a paved driveway from the house down to the bluff just above the water. Amenities: A covered 25 ft boat slip is available for your use. The large side fingers accommodate fishing, swimming, sunbathing, or watching boats go by. Only one additional boat may be tied alongside the dock. Bed Linens are provided, but renters must bring towels! Covered lakeside picnic table area.

Lake Travis Conditions: Lake Travis is considered the Crown Jewel of the Highland Lakes, known for it's beautiful coves, steep bluffs, peninsulas & good fishing. The Lake is 63 miles long with 270 miles of shoreline. There are large open areas for sail boats and high bluffs to block wind for great water skiing. The water is deep, clean and clear, great for swimming and scuba diving. There are numerous Marinas & Restaurants on the lake for your boating and dining needs. The lake is considered full at 681 ft. above sea level & it is currently around 669 ft above sea level, about 12 ft. low. All ramps are open in our area including Briarcliff Marina & Pace Bend Park. Call the Park entrance booth to check on current status of ramps & fees.
