Weekly rates are based on a 7 day, 6 night week. Rates as shown. PLEASE, NO HAGGLING. Please, review our information carefully before inquiring. Be sure to read the 'more details page' for booking instructions and answers to more FAQs.
NOTE: NO WASHING MACHINE IN THE WINTER
Check in: 2:00 p.m. or as arranged, check out by 10am
Maximum group of 11 including children of any age staying in the cottage. Please, no additional renters of any kind including sleeping on the floor, tents or campers.
Contiguous multi-week or monthly rentals or are also available discount to the weekly rates vary-ask. Please try and book early to avoid schedule conflicts.
Reservation deposit: If you are booking more than 30 days prior to your arrival date, a 25% of the rental fee is required to reserve your vacation time slot. This is a non-refundable fee. -
Signed short term vacation lease required. We will email or fax you this lease once your date is secured and deposit is received. If you are booking less than 30 days before your arrival date, your full rent and security deposit is due at the time of booking. We will hold your verbal reservation request for three days. If payment has not been received by the end of those three days, you dates will become available again.
We require a $500.00 security deposit issued to Terra Cottage in the form of a cashiers check. Add $250 for dogs. Security deposit will be refunded after departure unless damages ,or pay-per-view cable, or phone charges need to be deducted.
There is a housekeeper scheduled to come in immediately after a vacationers departure. If you require cleaning or laundry services during your stay, they are available for $130.00 per visit.
We will accept personal checks only. Your rental balance in full is required 30 days prior to your 1st nights stay

- There is a full bath with the master bedroom which is on the 1st floor. There is a 3/4 bath off of the front entrance: sink, toilet, shower. Sorry, no 2nd floor bathroom. There is 3rd bath under the pool in the cabana/pool house. This is also where the laundry is located. 3rd bath and washer are winterized during freezing temperatures and not available for use.

Spectacular fall colors. Serene and visually captivating in any season. We want you to be our guest and feel at home here, there are many special touches here that will make your vacation feel special and hassle free. - Barn by the pool has: 2nd full size fridge/freezer for extra food or pool beverages, pool toys, float chairs etc - Gazebo overlooking the river is fully screened and offers a seating for 4, a minifridge, coffeemaker, electric outlets and candles. Great for early morning coffee, watching the boaters, or watching the sunsets. You might see swans and ducks, too!
- Central Air Conditioning (first floor only), window unit in in 2nd floor tandem br. - Winter heat plus - Wood burning stone fireplace - Fully equipped kitchen with microwave & DW - Cable Internet access by Ethernet - Fax/copy machine - In ground, unheated pool overlooking the river - Full bath cabana under the pool - Three season laundry - Large outside stone fireplace - Firepit with 'stump' seating - Screened gazebo built into the bluff over looking the river - Long wooden boardwalk with outlets and lighting running parallel to the river. Storage shed contains chairs, fishing rods, bug spray, citronella torches etc - Towels and Linens provided - CD music player in the house, and a portable one for the pool or the boardwalk. There are a 50 or so CDs to listen to, or bring your own! - Gold package Comcast DVR digital cable TV with On Demand and pay-per-view access, plus a variety of VCR and DVD tapes including kid appropriate. Mbrm is non DVR box plus a DVD & VCR player
- Smokers okay, in moderation please.No Cigar Or Pipe Smoking In The House For Any Reason and must be done well away from any open widows when outside. - Dogs okay, pet deposit required, pet rules apply - Swimming (pool and river) - Fishing (must obtain own state license which are avail in town at several nearby locations) - Canoing (Niles Canoe rental is 15 mins away but you must canoe on their stretch of the river) - Hiking - We provide croquet & bocce ball - The volley ball net is down until we finish some landscaping projects. Ask for a status if you are interested - Area attractions include Tabor Hill winery, golf, antique stores, Fernwood Botanical Garden, Bear Cave Cavern, We are midway between NewBuffalo, St Joseph or South Bend (Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s). 20-30 mins and no tricky navigating necessary.
