Amenities: Completely equipped gourmet kitchen with microwave, Washer and dryer, TV, VCR and film library, Fireplace, Three phones, CD players in each room, Hair dryer in bath, Weber grill, Picnic table, Hammock, Books, Games, etc. Activities: Hiking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, boating, fishing, Smoky Mountain Railroad, tubing, Great Smokies National Park, Cherokee, Harrah's Casino, Dollywood, Biltmore House, Cherohala Skyline, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Tsali Bike Trail, Tail of the Dragon, waterfalls, and more. Area:Trout Creek is in an area where 85% of the land is national forest. Some people call it North Carolina's best kept secret. Two lakes, Fontana and Santeetlah are nearby, so rent a pontoon boat and relax or fish with unspoiled mountain views in every direction.
If you come to the mountains for the beauty of nature and less tourists, this is the place, yet a short distance away brings you to grocery stores and whatever else you'd need. We are about an hour from Pigeon Forge in one direction and the Biltmore Estate in the other. This means you can enjoy all the wonders of the mountains, yet if you desire to see George Vanderbilt's estate in Asheville or visit Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, you're close enough to do so without spending a fortune in gas.
Golf: The Smoky Mountain Country Club is about an hour away or less.
