- Upstairs and downstairs have separate entrances to outside and they are not connected by inside stairway. Upstairs, there is a twin sized pull out sofa in front room. There is plenty of room for an air mattress upstairs if you want to bring one. The futon in the downstairs area is a queen.

Scaly Mountain House Details
Downstairs is a two room efficiency with a small refrigerator and hotplate, a bedroom with twin beds, bath with large shower, and living area with a queen size futon sofa bed. Gas heat and hot water, available throughout, with A/C upstairs only. Upstairs also has ceiling vent-fan (which quickly sucks out any hot air which may accumulate) and ceiling fan. During the Winter, the rates are higher to reflect the higher gas prices for heating as well as the cost of opening and closing required to keep pipes from freezing. There is absolutely no smoking allowed inside the cabin. Parking is available for both levels. We never rent to 2 different parties at the same time. Please Note: Credit cards accepted through PayPal with nominal fee attached.

Upstairs - fully-equipped kitchen with double sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, stove, refrigerator, pull out cupboards, washer and dryer, towels and linens, wood stove, gas heat, ceiling fan, Roof venting fan, telephone, SAT TV and VCR/DVD, large balcony and covered porch.
Downstairs - refrigerator, hotplate and coffee maker, Satellite TV.
Activities:
Close to hiking trails, waterfalls, golfing, white water canoeing / kayaking / rafting, many golf courses, fishing, arts and crafts, antiques and many other outdoor activities.
Area:
Shopping, fine dining, and theatre available in near-by Highlands (20 min), Cashiers (40 min.), Franklin (30 min.), Sky Valley, GA (10 min) for golfing, Dillard, GA (15min), Cherokee (1 hour), Bryson City for tubing, or Kayaking (1 hr).
Atlanta 2 hours away.
