Activities to do here in Kona: Bikes, Moped, Sites, historical and cultural and Natural, Swimming, Scuba Diving (3 hour certification), Snorkeling, Surfing (Body, Board, Boogie), Tide pools, Walking/ jogging areas, Hike, Shops, Restaurants, Shows /Hawaiian music and entertainment, Movies, Tours, Snow and Water Ski, Boating, Fishing, Para sailing, Crafts . Area: Ohana Hale is approximately 5 miles to Kona Town.
Kona Town has the amenities for your vacation yet, is quiet and quaint enough so that you can relax. You will NOT find row after row of night clubs. You will find restraints, eateries, shops, and historical points of interest which wind along the Kona coast. The Big Island is the youngest in the chain of Hawaiian Islands. A driving trip around the island will take you to natural sites not seen anywhere else. The Big Island is rich in culture and beauty. We have waterfalls cascading into pools nestled amidst the natural rain forest. Mauna Kea is the highest point in the US; there is even skiing in the winter! It also home to Mauna Kea observatory where there are tours and other educational shows. South Point, the southern most point of the US, is neighbor to Green Sands Beach (put on your hiking boots!). Don’t forget to walk the crater at Volcano National Park or just walk down the street and snorkel at Kahalu’u beach in the turtle sanctuary.
