Amenities: The Beach House offers accommodation for 6 people with King, Queen and two singles, lush gardens surrounded by large porches plus a second story screened in porch to relax watching 180 degree sunset views.
Modern kitchen with appliances, microwave and laundry facilities, large deck with grill, high tech cooling and sound system with HBO TV, and beautiful flower gardens and landscaping. Bed linens and towels are supplied. Please bring your own beach towels. High Speed wireless Internet connection and free long distance calls within the U.S. available through Vonage. Activities: Relax in this idyllic beach retreat. Enjoy the historic resort tradition of the town referred to as NI-KO-NONG {Beautiful Sunsets) by the Potawatami. Walk/swim the miles of sugar sand beaches. Bring your golf clubs, as three different, including one championship course, Hawks Haven are within two miles of the house. This is The Blueberry Capital, so harvest (U-Pick, if you please) fresh blueberries, peaches, strawberries and apples or the many fruits de mer of trout, salmon or perch via charter fishing. There are over 1,200 boat slips for private boaters within the harbor.
Dinner cruises sail you into sunsets which rival those of Key West, California or Hawaii. Sherman's Ice Cream Parlor is a favorite post-sunset tradition. Festivals, harborside concerts and night life continue the experience. Area: Between Chicago and Detroit, South Haven is one of Michigan's best kept secrets. The Wall Street Journal recently rated the town as one of the top ten vacation home locations. Photographers, boaters and vacationers alike seek out South Haven for the vistas, the pier and lighthouse and the sunsets.
Golf: There are 3 golf courses with in 2 miles of the house, one, Hawkshead is one of Michigan's finest links golf courses.
