The main floor has unique individually cut pine flooring that makes the place even more comfortable. Within a short drive of 7 major ski areas, this large custom log home has what you come to Colorado for: fabulous mountain views, national forests out the back door, wind whispering through the pines, a crackling fire and privacy all within minutes of the conveniences of the Silverthorne/Dillon and Frisco/Breckenridge areas and it's just 50 minutes from Denver! National forest trailheads within walking distance of the house offer easy access to thousands of acres of public land for hiking, cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Snowmobiling is available also. Summer in the Rockies is a hidden treasure.
More activities than you can imagine!: Whitewater rafting, paved bicycle trails, the shops at the Silverthorne Factory Outlet and a blue medal trout stream are literally just down the hill. More than a half dozen golf courses are within a 20 minute radius. Seven of Colorado's famous 'Fouteeners' (peaks over 14,000 feet) are in the Summit County area. Horseback riding, jeep touring, hiking, visiting old gold and silver mines and boating at the Dillon Marina are other great summer activities.
