Homewood House Details
The 'Nautical Room' features a king bed inviting you to sail away on an antique wooden boat. Round up your buckaroos to stay in the 'Cowboys and Indians' room featuring two bunk beds. Finally close all the doors and windows to enjoy a cozy nights stay in the trundle bed room featuring Tahoe antiques. Downstairs your whole group will enjoy congregating for a game of pool or cards in the comfy game room. The game room also has a TV with VCR, couch, chairs, dart boards and game tables. Ski enthusiasts will enjoy a short drive to all of the major ski areas. The Homewood Ski Resort is only 1/2 mile away. Trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing are only a short distance from the house. Lots of wonderful restaurants and boutique shops nearby. Grab your towel for a short walk to the lake with a sandy Homeowners beach and 2 piers. It also offers a grassy lawn with a large BBQ, ping pong and swimming platforms. Chambers Beach and pier are only a 3 blocks away.
Amenities & Activities: Beach chairs, fishing gear and bicycles provided. Hot tub on deck, DSL high speed Internet, VCR/DVD and CD player, gas BBQ, fireplace with gas logs, bicycles, beach chairs, fishing equipment, cable TV(3), washer/dryer, full kitchen with dishwasher new ovens microwave and gourmet stove, game room with pool table and game tables, large deck with deck chairs, tables umbrellas, chaise lounge, heat lamp, Jacuzzi tub in downstairs bath, sunken tub in upstairs bath, radios, iron and ironing board, hairdryers. Flat driveway in front parks 5 cars, with easy winter access. The large grass backyard offers fabulous views of the lake making it ideal for small weddings with a fun path down to the lake. 3 blocks to Chambers Landing beach and pier. Close to hiking in nearby forest service woods. Mountain biking trails nearby. Fishing guide boats nearby in Homewood for Kokanee salmon and lake trout. Boat and water ski rentals 2 miles away.
Area: Go out the front door and get on the West Shore bike path which is about 10 miles long. Access to Desolation Wilderness is about 3 miles away thru Blackwood Canyon. Only 5 blocks away from Homewood Mountain Resort. Access to Alpine Meadows Ski Resort is only 3 miles away. Cross country skiing is only 2 miles away at Sugar Pine Park where the Olympics were held. Located on the beautiful West Shore of Lake Tahoe. Quiet location near the bike path. Gambling is 1/2 hour away at South Shore or North Shore in Nevada. Lots of very good restaurants within 15 minutes. Good shopping in Tahoe City only 5 miles away.
Ski: Homewood Mountain Resort and Ski area is only1/2 mile away.The shuttle to Sherwood lift and the backside of Alpine Meadows is only 4 miles away and no traffic.
