Cobb Island House Details
Perfect for that laid-back, relaxing vacation your family has been contemplating. This is the place where special memories are made- Imagine sipping wine or your morning coffee and watching the ospreys, the herons and an assortment of other birds diving for their next feast into the Potomac River or watching the variety of boats travel up and down the river. Or waking up in the morning to the sun rising over the river with spectacular colors of the sky that inspires anyone to paint. Or spending countless hours fishing or crabbing off the pier. Or just sitting on the deck over the water and enjoying a crab feast or painting of shells by the children. You will enjoy swimming, kayaking, bicycling, fishing, crabbing, boating, walks, bird watching and stargazing. We provide kayaks, bicycles, fishing poles and crab traps for your use. If you have never kayaked before, plan on it this summer. Its easy to learn and fun. You can rent Motor boats at the local marina.
It's only 3 miles to the highly rated Swan Point Golf course. Our guests have made so many wonderful comments to us about their vacation at our home, but the common theme that everyone talks about is that their vacation was good for their soul. It was a special place that they were able to totally relax, enjoy family/friends and nature at its best. It is will great pride that I invite you to stay at our special, magical home. Looking for something to do on a rainy day? Washington, D.C. area: You are 75 minutes to all the following: U.S. Capitol and Museums, Old Town Alexandria, Va., Potomac Mills Shopping Mall, Mt. Vernon, Fredericksburg and Civil War battlefields, Lee, Washington & Madison birthplaces. Westmoreland Berry Farm. 1.5 hours to Annapolis, Richmond VA 2.5 hours to Colonial Williamsburg, Waterworld, Busch Gardens, Relax here between trips.
