Port Clinton House for Rent: Charming, Quaint Home on Lake Erie, Private Beach, Not Far from Cedar Point - Property 302968

We are not an impersonal management company but are very hands-on owners who want your stay with us to be full of blessings. Golden Gate is quaintly furnished with antiques, leather furniture and my special collections. There is a first floor bedroom with a double bed and bath. Upstairs, three of the bedrooms have king size beds, and one has a queen. There is a pullout sofa in the family room. At the front of the house is a large patio with furniture facing the lake. Inside, a sunroom across the front of the house gives spectacular views, it has a large dining table in it so you can enjoy the lake whenever you eat regardless of the weather! We like our kitchen to be fully equipped for any occasion and love gazing at the water as we cook! We are continually updating and adding to Golden Gate. This past year we did some redecorating and added a hot tub.

It is our privilege to own this house and to share it with you! We have future plans for Golden Gate, but we also like to keep the essence of it the same, so that if you come back year after year, it feels familiar and comfortable. Like 'Grandma's house' (on the lake!) Many guests have spent hours on the beach during the day and then enjoyed a bonfire at night. Golden Gate is the kind of place that you can spend your whole vacation just relaxing and 'vegging out' in as we do, or you can find fun and exciting things to do within a 30 minute drive. Cedar Point amusement park, the ferries to Put-in-Bay and Kelley's islands, Lakeside---Lake Erie's Chautauqua and the Marblehead lighthouse are close by. For those of you into nature and birding, our area was part of the 'Great Black Swamp' and we are at the crossroads of two major migratory paths.

The variety of birds and waterfowl around here is amazing and Magee Marsh with it's nature programs and walks through the marshes is close by. We enjoy putting you in touch with what's available to do in our area and helping you have the best possible time at Golden Gate! We will gladly answer any questions you have about our cottage or the area and routinely supply all our guests with a ton of information, so that the time you spend at Golden Gate is just what you want it to be. Amenities: Private sandy beach, views of the lake from every room in the house, patio, grill, Pool table, central air conditioning, sun room, picnic tables, patio furniture, Hot tub, ceiling fans in every room, three king-size beds, one queen bed, one double bed and a sleeper sofa. First floor bedroom and bath. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. Two refrigerators, Laundry room with washer and two dryers. 36' TV with cable, VCR and DVD. Towels and linens provided.

Ski: This area has many charter fishing boats and the best walleye, perch and small mouth bass fishing!

Golf: Stereo, radio, CD player in game room. Activities: boating,sailing, jet skiing, wind sailing,water skiing,amusement parks,museums, wineries,antique and gift shops, islands ,historic lighthouse,fishing,swimming Area: Port Clinton -15 minutes--for Jet Express to Put-in-Bay; Marblehead---30 minutes-Lighthouse; Cedar Point---30-45 minutes--amusement park.
