We have furnished the home with items that are far above the quality level of typical rentals. As examples, you will find thick pillow-top mattresses and goose down comforters on the beds, a leather reclining couch, massaging recliner and a surround-sound stereo system in the living room, large-screen TV's and VCR/DVD units in the living room and both bedrooms, and a Jenn-Air grille range in the kitchen. In addition, you will find more than 50 movies and CD's, an excellent collection of books, field glasses for watching the wildlife, board games, pellets for the wood stove, plus the local newspaper every morning. 'You have thought of everything!' is a frequent guest comment. We really try to. The large separate game room has a slate-bed pool table, a Foosball table, a professional arcade road-race game, exercise equipment, a real slot machine (with provided tokens), and a basketball hoop - to provide hours of entertainment for both kids and adults.

Outdoors, there are horseshoe pits and river rafts for fun during the summer; sleds and snowshoes are provided during the winter. The beautiful Quail Run golf course is less than one minute away, with a driving range and restaurant open throughout the golf season - April through October. The activities of the popular Sunriver Resort are an easy 10-minute drive away, Bend is 20 minutes straight up Highway 97, and the town of La Pine is 10 minutes south. It is just 35 miles to Mt. Bachelor and there are more than a dozen high-mountain fishing and recreation lakes nearby (Crane Prairie, Wickiup, Paulina, Lava, Cultus, etc.). Quiet, completely housebroken pets are welcome. This is doggy heaven, with large wooded areas to sniff, a river to swim in, squirrels that need exercising, and a nice dog run. Pets must be kept off the beds and furniture, and you are required to pick up after them outdoors. We accept credit cards through the secure PayPal service.

Famous Trout Lakes -Wickiup, Crane Prairie, Paulina, etc. The Little Deschutes has Brown and Rainbow Trout so you can fish from the 900 feet of riverbank right on the property. Raft float trips that begin or end at the home are also popular.

Golf: Area: Approximate driving times: Seattle - 6.5 hours, Portland - 3 hours, San Francisco - 9 hours, Redmond Airport (RDM) - 45 minutes. Supermarkets are less than 10 minutes away. Several clear mountain lakes, waterfalls, and wilderness trail heads are only 10-30 minutes from the home.
