This is your chance to get an out-of-the-way cottage that's cozy and close to the ocean. Waimanalo is famous for its five mile sandy beach, surrounded by the lush Ko'olau Mountains. You will enjoy the palm trees and tropical flowers surrounding the yard....AhHHHH laying in the hammock rattling wind chimes and sleep comes easy. This newly renovated, Hawaiian style house overlooking the Ko'olaus, is ideal for two couples or a family. Sitting at the beach, your feet disappear in the sand, as does your maitai, a great start for any vacation. As the rum eases down into your toes you wonder if it was really necessary to carry a boogie board, snorkel, mask, fins, and beach chair..... Ah, but who cares?? If you're lucky you might find a glass ball on the beach. These are used by Japanese fishermen, and find their way to the shores of Hawaii. As you look out at the water you see Manana Island, Flat Island and the Mokuleas. You have found your home away from home.

All our properties are located in the same neighborhood in Waimanalo, a small town on the East side of Oahu. We are about 30 minutes from the airport and Waikiki/Honolulu and Pearl Harbor; about 45 minutes to the Polynesian Cultural Center; about an hour from the North Shore. Our houses are located in a quiet residential neighborhood, all close to Waimanalo Beach..... 5 miles of white sand, islands off shore, no tourists to speak of. We have a local bakery that have fresh, hot donuts in the mornings, a couple of Mom/Pop grocery stores, a surf shop, a local art gallery, and a couple of take out plate lunch places. You can get to bigger grocery shopping and a Costco within 15 minutes of the house.

Having a house of your own allows you to taste the flavor a small, Hawaiian town and see some of the special attractions that hotel dwellers miss. This is the kind of place where you will choose to return year after year for the comfort and hospitality that we have to offer. If you are considering doing a whirlwind tour of the islands, we recommend you reconsider. Oahu offers all the activities and beauty found on all the other islands, so you can take time to relax. Nearby Attractions.....Hanauma Bay (famous for snorkeling), Sea Life Park, Makapu'u Lighthouse, The Blowhole, Sandy Beach (breakneck beach), Kimo'z Family Restaurant, Hike to a Waterfall, Surfing...are all within 10 minutes of the house. Polynesian Cultural Center, Botanical Gardens, and many other exciting activities are all within an easy drive from the house.

Amenities: Two bedrooms, 1 bathroom in main part of house, living room, full kitchen, a/c, jacuzzi, washer/dryer, Cable TV, phone, large yard, outdoor shower for use when you return from the beach, covered breezeway with table/chairs and awesome view of the mountains. Separate Love Shack includes kitchenette, living room and bedroom. We have boogie boards, snorkel gear, jacuzzi, BBQ, coolers, beach chairs, etc., you can use while staying here. Just five houses easy walk to Waimanalo Beach. Activities: 5 mile sandy beach steps from house; Polynesian Cultural Center 35 minutes away; Makapu'u Lighthouse hike 10 minutes away; Hanauma Bay 10 minutes away. Area: Waimanalo is a small Hawaiian town with little tourist activity.

Beach is great for early morning walks or evening strolls looking for glass balls. About a 1/4 mile walk on the beach to see turtles.
