Notes: Villas del Mar is only 8 blocks west from Chicxulub Downtown and 10 minutes drive to Progreso Downtown (Malecon, Cruise Port). Its got great location because is near all the services without being attached to the town with all the locals and fishermans, the beach in Villas del Mar is safe and clean, you will feel the peacefull atmosphere in order to be in vacation- stress free mode. Progreso, is laid back and not touristy (except for the occasional cruise ship that stops in town, but those folks are gone in a matter of hours). The malecon (main tourist strip) makes for nice strolling along the beach. There are great seafood restaurants, a nice grocery store, and an awesome market. Try to get up early to hit the market for fresh fish, vegetables, flowers, etc. The condo is also close enough for other explorations. Hit a few Mayan ruins, cenotes, and Merida.
