- Costa Rica is usually split into two six month periods, Green Season and High Season
- Green Season is considered from mid April through Mid December. This time of year there will be a rain shower in the afternoon. It usually only lasts a couple of hours. This is a wonderful time of year to travel to Guanacaste as everything is lush and green and wildlife is very active. The sun rises around 5:30 am and sets around 6 pm. So, when the rains are coming in, you have already have a full fun day and are preparing for dinner.
- High Season is typically known as the busy season in Costa Rica. It is when most travelers visit Costa Rica. This time frame is usually from Mid December to Mid April. There is no rain at all through this time frame and travelers get fun and sun their entire trip.
