Other Amenities: The Terrace pool also has a Jacuzzi. Chan's Market is a convenience store on site and sells sandwiches. The Tiki Bar at the beach serves alcoholic or soft drinks and provides service for the adjoining deck right on the beach! There are lounges here for sunning and people watching. There is a sauna and exercise rooms with the latest equipment. The lake has two beautiful water fountains, which are lighted at night. The lake has a bridge across the middle with a gazebo. Joggers and walkers will be in paradise here! A beach tram takes you from the Terrace to the beach in the summer season. It is just a short walk to the beach from the condo. Big Kahuna Waterpark is across the street, offering acres of fun! Golfers have their choice of several championship golf courses! Deep sea fishing boats leave daily for charter fishing or sightseeing from the Destin Harbor. Nightly dinner and dancing is offered on board an excursion ship.
Shopping and Dining: One of the largest factory store shopping areas in the country, Silver Sands, is located down Hwy 98 East. Destin Commons is a large shopping and dining complex with a movie theater. Groceries may be bought at either Winn-Dixie Supermarket across the highway or about a mile east at Publix Supermarket. A taste of New Orleans is available at Pat O'Brien's and Commander's Palace at Harborwalk. There are many great restaurants within a mile of our condo.
Fun for the Kids: There are many activities offered for children at Pelican Beach. Parasailing, tubing, surfboard sailing and paddle boats await your kids at the beach. Life guards are on duty. Umbrellas and chairs are available at the beach. Kids will love the kiddie-car track, motorized water tubing and bunjee jumping about a half mile East on Hwy 98. The Big Kahuna Waterpark is across the highway and offers acres of water fun and other activities.
