- All bedrooms are equipped with extra thick mattresses and luxury down comforters. The two upstairs bedrooms have ceiling skylites that open for extra ventilation. Both bedrooms have full bathrooms en suite. The lower level bedroom has a wood-burning stove for extra atmosphere as well as an adjacent sitting room or office that provides room for extra cots. The main floor has a library with a leather couch that converts into a queen-size bed. That room opens onto the three-season sunroom as well as the rear deck. The three main bedrooms all have closets. Finally, a small crib is available.

Canaan House Details
Additional things to do: In addition to the Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort there are three ski mountains within 40 minutes or take a day trip to Stratton and Bromley ski resorts in the Green Mountains of Vermont, an hour and a half away. Cross country ski trails abound. Our favorite area is at Hilltop Orchards (7 minutes away) where there is a full scale winery and tasting room along with hot cider and donuts. The lakes near your vacation home freeze solid so you may go ice skating, snowshoeing or ice-fishing or just watch! See six states from the top of Mt. Greylock. Nearby indoor and outdoor tennis, health club and yoga facilities are available on a daily fee basis. Visit Albany, the New York State capital. Visit the charming towns of Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington and Williamstown (the home of famous Williams College). There is a unique childrens' museum in Pittsfield. Visit historic Bennington, VT. 45 minutes away.
Hospitals: There are two regional hospitals within a half hour.
