Beaches: Ten minutes to Mission and Pacific Beach-ride the big dipper and bumper cars or catch a huge man made wave at Belmont Park and The Wave House. Fifteen minutes to La Jolla, La Jolla Shores, La Jolla Cove . Fifteen to twenty minutes to Coronado Island, Imperial Beach-sand castles, dunes, bird sanctuaries. Sight Seeing: Ten minutes to Old Town, World Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park Museums, Stephan Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institute of Oceanography La Jolla- learn more about San Diegos past and present, enjoy seeing many animals and aquatic life. Twenty minutes to Mexican Border, Tijuana- shopping and great food. Thirty minutes to Leg-o-land and the Wild Animal Park. A couple hours to Los Angeles and Disneyland Resort.
Sailing and Sport Fishing: Five minutes to the San Diego Yacht Club and Shelter Island. Full day, Half day, Quarter day fishing trips from H&M Landing. Golfing: Fifteen minutes from Torrey Pines and 30 other golf courses . Horse Racing and Gambling: Twenty minutes from Del Mar Racetrack and San Diego County Fair. Twenty to Thirty minutes to Vejas, Barona, Golden Acorn, Pechanga and many other Indian Gaming Casinos.
Shopping: Fifteen minutes to Mission Valley, Fashion Valley, and Horton Plaza. Twenty minutes to Carlsbad, Las Americas, and Vejas Outlet Shops. Amazing Street Fairs and Farmers Market a couple blocks from our home every Wednesday afternoon on Newport Ave. Fine dining, drinks, nightclubs: Ten to Fifteen minutes to the historic Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego, La Jolla and Old Town's restaurants, clubs, bars. Twenty minutes to Mexico. An hour and a half to Julian county for wine tasting, pie eating, apple picking, gold mining tours. Come kick back and relax the Ocean Beach way.
