The house tour: The house is a classic “upside down” house, accommodating 10 guests in five bedrooms: a master bedroom suite with queen bed and private bath on the top floor, a queen bedroom and twin/king bedroom with shared bath on the main floor, and a twin/king bedroom, bunkroom and shared bath on the first/ground floor. Fresh, top quality linens, heated towel racks, DVD and CD/iPod players in each bedroom all make for a very pleasant getaway. The main floor has a large open ''great'' room with cathedral ceilings, including a comfortable living room, dining area, and well equipped kitchen, access to a large wrap around deck (with outdoor shower and gas Weber barbeque), and spectacular views over the salt marshes to the upper harbor. Downstairs there is a rec room with ping pong table, a laundry room with large capacity washer/dryer, and access to the yard and storage for bikes. The house is equipped with everything you need for a total break...and wifi and an office area if you need to work.

Make your visit special: Nippanoose is made for creating special summer memories, or even create a great off-season escape. By special arrangement a boat may be moored just off “your” beach so you can explore Nantucket harbor, or catch fish for dinner that night. A sunfish is on the beach ready for a sail in the protected waters of the upper harbor. Kayaks and bicycles can be delivered to the house, waiting for your arrival. For those crisp Autumn and early winter evenings, there is a hot tub off the deck and a gas fireplace in the great room. Take advantage of the fact that our family has been summering on Nantucket since 1950, and knows about as well as anyone how to have the perfect visit to the island.
