Private quiet street, two levels creates privacy/quiet for separate families or teenagers upstairs or downstairs. Can grill on outside deck, close to several restaurants and quaint shops. Movie theaters, museums, community theaters nearby. Always cool on the mountain in the summer, average temperatures 50's in evenings, 60's-78 degrees daytime.
Relaxing environment, see Grandfather Mountain: Our views extend to Grandfather Mountain and in the winter you can watch skiers glide down Sugar Mountain trails. Three minute drive down mountain (house is at 4500 feet elevation) to Sugar Mountain Ski Lodge and Sugar Mountain Golf Course and Tennis Club. Tubing and ice skating in same area. Hiking and biking trails abound in and around the region and on Sugar mountain, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Eastern Tennessee all within half hour drive. Many family activities and beautiful vistas, unspoiled green spaces. Appalachian State University nearby in Boone. Theater and art, music in several venues.
