In and around the house.: Our beautiful, Tahoe-Donner home in the foothills above the town of Truckee features a large 'great-room', perfect for entertaining, and a host of amenities that will make your stay in the Lake Tahoe area truly memorable. Down stairs master bedroom has a king-size bed and full size futon, full bathroom with 2-persons jacuzzi tub. Den has full size futon.Upstairs master bedroom has a queen size bed and full bathroom with shower. Third bedroom has a queen and full size futons. There are two additional 'roll-away' beds, queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room available. A two car garage with regular driveway snow plow service during the winter provides parking for at least 5 vehicles. Three private decks overlooking forest.The rear deck area are very private and provide a great view into the forest. The rear deck is a great place to sit in the morning or or afternoon and watch the deer pass through.

Amenities of the Resort/Surrounding Community: Just five minutes to downtown historic Truckee with all the specialty shops and restaurants. Visit the Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center for an afternoon horseback ride in the local terrain. Just 5 minutes from the family friendly Tahoe Donner downhill ski area and clubhouse. Use the supplied amenity cards for guests to access at a discount the clubhouse, recreation center, tennis courts, golf course, any of three swimming pools including the year-round lap pool, steam room or sauna, beach access to Donner lake and beach clubhouse. Tahoe-Donner offers a great Lake Tahoe vacation experience, especially for families. The community offers 3 pools (1 adult only), a tennis center with 11 courts, a semi-private beach club on Donner Lake with Kayak and paddle boat rentals, and two restaurants including the newly completed Tahoe-Donner Lodge. Minutes away from the Tahoe-Donner and Coyote Moon championship golf courses and the quaint and rustic town of Truckee with its lovely boutique shopping.

In the winter.: During the winter, guests can enjoy a snow-play area in the large back yard. This is ideal for families with small children who don't want the hassle of loading up the kids to go to a public snow play area, only for someone in the group to get tired and want to go home. For those into snow sports, the home is a short 20 minutes from Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Northstar, Squaw, and Alpine ski resorts. We are also just a 5 minute drive to the Tahoe Donner downhill ski area. The downhill ski area is super convenient and great for young families and beginners. The cross-country ski area is second to none, offering access to 4,800 acres of terrain, including the amazing Euer valley. During the winter, the golf course driving range (3 minutes away) is turned into a public snow-play area with sled rentals. Best of all, we're 20-30 minutes closer to the Bay Area, right off highway 80, and provide easier access to all the ski resorts and golf courses than those communities near Lake Tahoe.
