Near everything and yet far away: Located at the end of a quiet street, at the end of a point of land, this setting is extremely private, and yet you are only 2 miles from Hyannis commercial center with grocery stores, movie theatre, car repair, ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, 70 miles to Boston. Ocean is 1.5 miles away. Centerville is a village within the Town of Barnstable.
Family Compound for rent: This home is located on 1.2 acres; there is an 80 foot long dock to watch sunsets from, dock your boat at (included) or swim from. Lake Wequaket is pristine, fresh water lake fed by underground springs with 9.5 miles of shoreline to explore. Massachusetts stocks this lake with fish. We provide a canoe, paddles, a paddle-boat and life jackets for your further enjoyment. Lawn areas are available for sitting, playing games, volleyball, badminton, etc. Designed as a family retreat and in one family for the past 65 years, this site is available for rent for only the second summer.
Unique home on and over the water: Built in 1957 before stringent conservation controls were passed, this unique 'deck house' design features a deck built directly over the water. This home could not be built at this location today. Improved with new windows and sliding doors (2009), this former private home features a large, open kitchen with modern appliances and a separate laundry room. Just bring your suitcase and your spirit of fun and enjoy a luxurious summer retreat. No additional fees, taxes, or commissions apply. All utilities and final cleaning are included in the price. Owners live nearby in this summer, family neighborhood should you have questions or needs during your stay.
Other Activities: We provide a canoe and passle-boat for tenant use. Basketball court, boating, shopping, kayaking, day spa, mini golf.
