Whitefish Condo Details
SKI Details: Ptarmigan Village is one mile from the Ski Slopes. There is a Ski Bus that comes by but it is better to drive to the lifts at Whitefish Mountain Resort (Big Mountain). Lessons and lift tickets are very reasonable and there are a wide variety of easy to extremely challenging trails. There is also great Cross Country (Nordic) at the Whitefish Golf Course, Round Meadows, Glacier National Park, and at Essex Mt. The Winter carnival is held the first week in February and is a good time with races, night skiing and other events.
Summer Events: Whitefish Lake has great boating and fishing as does Flathead Lake. The Flathead River in Glacier Park, is great for whitewater rafting and fly fishing. Going to the Sun Road is a must do in the summer, and if hiking is your thing, you will be in heaven with all the marvelous sites and trails in the wilderness areas. Many great golf courses in the area, with the Whitefish Golf Course the closest. Another picturesque and challenging course is at Glacier Park West Entrance. There are 5 or 6 other courses in the immediate area.
