Beautiful Resort & Beach: Kiahuna Plantation is located directly on south Kauai's best beach and its open lawns and gardens are oriented toward the beach. There are snorkeling, surfing lessons, fun waves, whale watching and endangered monk seals snoozing on the beach. Beach chairs and towels are provided for you. There's a baby beach just a short walk down the sand toward Poipu Beach Park. Our resort is low-rise, relatively small, and has a lot of open space and gardens, something not available in newer developments. It feels like 'old Hawaii', never seems crowded and is wonderful for honeymoons and romantic getaways as well as for a family vacation. Frankly, we don't believe a more perfect Hawaii vacation spot exists, because both this resort and Kauai offer something for everyone, no matter what their age or interests. Our tennis complex is beautiful and the pool is located there.

Nearby Area: There are excellent restaurants in walking distance. There is a small shopping area very close, which includes a Starbuck's and convenience store, as well as upscale shops. The Sheraton next door has bars with pretty views and the Hyatt down the road is an unusually lovely large, open hotel. There are fun walks along the coast, including along the cliffs from the Hyatt to Mahalepu Beach, a long and undeveloped beach with a great swimming area. And in the opposite direction to Spouting Horn. Kauai is called the Garden Island because it is tropical. Most of the year the ran falls occasionally at night. In winter, it's possible to get sustained rain, but it is more often mostly sunny. Since we are on the south coast of Kauai we receive much less rain than the Hanalei and Princeville areas hit directly by the tradewinds, so we are tropical but not wet.
