The Franklin and the Smokey Mountain area provide many places to visit and lots to do like Antiquing, Gem Mining, rafting/canoeing/kayaking/tubing the Little Tennessee and other local rivers, site seeing and scenery appreciation. Don’t forget to visit Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, only a short drive over the mountain. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Maggie Valley, Ashville home of the Biltmore Estates are all just an hour or two away.
