Windham House Details
DAY TRIPPERS DELIGHT: In less than two hours you can be walking the halls of the Baseball Museum and the Hall of Fame. Located in the quintesential small town American Cooperstown on gorgeous Lake Otsego. Cooperstown is also home to Opera, a terrific Farmers Museum and a terrific array of baseball memorobilia shops. Also cute cafes and wonderful strolling down to the park by the lake.
New York City a 2 1/2 hr drive : The most amazing city in the world is a scenic drive. A little far for a day trip, but just click on NYC on homeaway and rent an apt. for a night. There are several things to see and do in NYC. Like a million. Also, golf and skiing are special and spectacular with Windham and Hunter ski areas within minutes from the house. Sugar Maples Art Center is five minutes down the road.
Other 1/2 or full day trips: Fishing or swimming at CD Lane Park (1 mile) A very popular water park (45 mins) Strolling through Windham (12 mins) with its antiques, galleries, cafes, and terrific restaurants. The best hiking trails in the Catskills virtually outside your door or very short drives away. Golf and skiing are both special and spectacular with Windham and Hunter mtns very close and two incredibly scenic golf courses within 15 minutes. Sugar Maples Art Center is 5 minutes down the road!
