WILD LIFE SANCTUARY: Eco Cove's 117 acres are a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. Waterfowl, songbirds, foxes, deer,turkeys, coyotes and bears pass through the property, non-threatening but exciting to see! Our property has been a Forest Stewardship since 1992, and the land abounds with woods, meadows, streams, gentle waterfalls, and hiking trails. We are adjacent to the Pisgah National Forest, and no neighbors share our property other than a few houses along the ridge above the acre Koi pond. Lush flower gardens add to the romantic ambiance. It is a place of relaxation and seclusion, yet is only 5 minutes away from Old Fort and Marion which offer crafts, vineyards, museums, markets, movies, entertainment and restaurants. Lake James is 10-15 minutes away, and Asheville is 30. Festivals, music, and mountain magic--what more can you ask for?

ECO COVE HOUSE: The house is well outfitted with art, and fun craft rooms like our wild animal room. The breakfast nook's bay window overlooks a side flower garden with a sculptured metal birdbath. There is a full compliment of pots and pans and kitchen appliances. Blue glass decorates the kitchen bay window, and the stone fireplace offers gas log ambiance. Skylights, AC, ceiling fans, glass doors and glass brick make the house light and airy! A generator behind the house runs on propane if there is ever a power outage, which is rare. Satellite TV/VCR/DVD entertainment, with offerings of videos and DVDs in the library. There is also a stereo with a music library. The master bath offers a Jacuzzi hot tub. A full walk in closet, big enough for a crib, is part of the master suite. Linens are provided. A washer and dryer are in the utility room. A full-front porch offers swing, glider, a breakfast table and chairs for 2, wicker lounge and 2 wicker rockers to enjoy the day!

THINGS TO DO: Asheville NC is the San Francisco of the East Coast. A beautiful mountain town, with big sky and an eccentric populace! We have constant festivals year round, waterfalls, mountain hiking, caverns, vineyards, lakes, the Biltmore House (largest private residence in the US) unbelievably delicious restaurants, clogging, fiddling, mining, museums, furniture markets, world renown craft outlets, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is minutes away! Our property is centrally located to all of these activities and winter ski resorts are 45 minutes away, on state maintained roads (as is our road).
