Crested Butte Townhome Details
Getting to Crested Butte: FLIGHTS: Must be book air to Gunnison (GUC). It is a 5 hour drive from Denver or Aspen in the Winter to Crested Butte, and 3 hours from Colorado Springs. You will not need a car in Crested Butte, the bus service is perfect, but a shuttle from Gunnison is required if you do not rent a car. Alpine Express is the shuttle service Car rentals: AVIS (1) 970-641-0263 HERTZ (970) 641-2881 or Budget. Montrose is an option for flights in the Spring and Summer, Winter if you are familiar with the driving conditions. About 2 hours.
DRIVING: Winter driving in the Rockies is for the experienced snow driver, who is willing to detour and turn around if the roads are closed in winter months. Kebler Pass is NOT open in winter to cars or trucks. From Denver: From Colorado Springs: From Grand Junction/Montrose:
