Here's why I have this apartment:: Even though everyone thought he was crazy, my father bought this apartment in Paris in 1983. It was a total wreck but in a wonderful location in a beautiful building. His French is not great but that didn't stop him. He had the apartment completely renovated. About 6 years ago, he succeeded in buying the hallway that was adjacent to our apartment and we were able to connect the two and greatly enlarge the apartment. The apartment was totally renovated again at that time. It's been so great having a place like this to go to whenever airfares are low. I would rather stay in this apartment than any of the great hotels in Paris. It's just a terrific experience.
