Kitt Peak National Observatory: Kitt Peak National Observatory - The Kitt Peak Visitor Center is open daily and offers free public tours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Kitt Peak has 22 optical and two radio telescopes representing eight astronomical research institutions. The observatory supports nighttime optical and infrared astronomy and daytime study of the sun. The Nightly Observing Program is available by reservation.
