Darnley Cottage Rates
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
- All rates are in CAD$
- Rates:
Spring: May - 3rd week of June- $1000/week
Peak: last week of June - 2nd week of September- $1,500/week
Fall: 3rd week September-$800/week
Call for special rates.
Rates are based on families of 5, $100/person additional charge per week for parties greater than 5 will be applied
Cleaning charge applied - $100
Taxes: GST 5% and PST (10% on sale plus GST) are added to rental rates.
i.e. $1,500 + $75 GST (5%) + $157 PST (10% on sale plus GST) = $1,733 TOTAL
how Tax is calculated:
Legislation requires that the PST be shown separately from the sale amount or any other amount charged on all sales documentation. The 10% PST is added at the point of sale, and applied after the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is added to the price. For example:
Amount of Sale $100.00
GST (5%) $5.00
Sub-Total $105.00
PST (10%) $10.50
Total Payable $115 - A security/damage deposit of $200 is required upon check-in. This deposit is not applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within 0-5 days of departure, provided the provisions are met.
Deposit:
Booking Deposit: $500 due at time of booking. Remaining total + taxes due at time of checkin
A 60 day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made within 60 days prior to arrival will NOT incur a penalty and deposit will be returned immediately. Full cancellations (or changes that result in a shorter stay) that are not made within 60 days forfeit full advance payment of $500 (unless we can re-rent it ... in which case we will refund 100% deposit).
