Treasure Island Condo Details
Owners: Peter and Monika Gewecke: SOUTH BEACH CONDO HOTEL was built in 2000/2001 as a Hotel. It was converted into this CONDO-HOTEL in 2004, after major renovations took place throughout the whole building by a new owner/contractor. We became owners in 2006 and remodeled this condo to our personal taste and with an European touch. We rent our condo since April 2006 and have many returning guests from The Netherlands, Germany, France, Canada and mostly from North America, our 'Snowbirds'. We hope you enjoy your vacation home as much as we do to take care of it.
Amenities in walking distance: This vacation condo is situated directly on the beach and just look at the photos, this is what you really see sitting on the balcony and you can enjoy the most calming sunsets. Nothing will obstruct your view over the wide beaches of Treasure Island. You can walk along the water to famous John's Pass Village with all the diversity you can imagine; many restaurants for different tastes, a Gamble Ship, para-gliding or para-sailing, boat- or water skooter rentals and you can even rent a bicycle and explore the neighborhood. On the beach with music entertainment is 'Sloppy Joes' and different pizzerias, cafes and more restaurants. Publix just opened here a new store for groceries and everything you need for a relaxed vacation.
Attractions in driving distance: If you like to explore the city of St. Petersburg, we recommend to drive to the Pier, about 25 minutes from your vacation condo. At the end of the Pier stands a very unique building with five floors and from there you can enjoy a magnificent view all around over Tampa Bay. Also in downtown are to visit different very interesting Museums, like DALI Museum, the History Museum with the first Commercial Airline in the United States flying across Tampa Bay in 1921 between St. Petersburg and Tampa. The International Art Musem just opened a new wing, overlooking Tampa Bay. There is Straub Park to stroll along and you find many new and exquisite shops, small galleries, cafes and restaurants to sit outside - just get the Floridian Feeling! A Day Trip would be to drive over to Tampa and visit Tampa Aquarium, Busch Gardens with all the exciting adventures, Lowry Zoo or further to Orlando with the Disney Attractions.
