Water skiing and wakeboard enthusiasts can find lessons on the lake, or visit the world renowned Texas Ski Ranch, just 20 minutes down the road. Only 15 minutes from the house is New Braunfels where you will find the world famous Schlitterbahn Water Park, and can take a relaxing float down either the Comal or Guadalupe River. Gruene is also just a 15-minute drive where you can find the famous Gruene Hall, The Gristmill or great antique shops. San Marcos is only a 20 minute drive away, where you can shop till you drop at the Outlet Mall.

Visit Wonder World, or even take a glass bottom boat tour at The Aquarena Center. Thirty minutes to San Antonio and you can visit The Alamo, The I-Max Theater, and The River Walk, Splashtown. Fiesta Texas and Seaworld are less than a 60 minute drive. The area has numerous great golf courses for the days you don't want to spend on the river.
