Kapoho House Summary

Carefree Kapoho - craftsman-style cedar home, with a nice ocean view and its own warm pool waits for you! Spacious and roomy, our home is warm, private, and provides quiet pleasure with a sun deck and covered decks. Enjoy the ocean breeze and sunshine along with the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep at night. Relax in the warm pool or take a short walk to Champagne Pond, the large ocean tide pool, and swim with the turtles! The Kapoho area is warm and sunny as it is located just south of Cape Kumukahi, and does not get the traditional East Hawaii rains. Kapoho Beach Lots is a quiet gated community with lots of ocean activities and walking. Kapoho is not far from Kilauea volcano, Akaka Falls, Hilo town and the fantastic new 'Imiloa Astronomy Center. A great farmer's market (Sundays) is 15 minutes away. Locally there are orchid, papaya and fresh fruit/vegetables farms. Our guests have enjoyed our home tremendously and we thank them for taking good care of it!

Ocean and large ocean tide pools: The 'Champagne Pond' and the ocean are one block away, Champagne Pond is ocean fed and brings the turtles - swimming with them is a real treat! The ocean offers walking, fishing, and sand to play in. The Wai Opae ocean conservation area is for great snorkeling, is a few minutes drive away in Kapoho Vacationland. Otherwise the area does provide hiking, walking and biking. Additionally, we have the Kilauea volcano, 'Imiloa Astronomy Center, Akaka Falls, our Hilo community provides many great festivals, and a variety of shows and events.
