There is a full-size gas grill in the private picnic area. Additional amenities include central heat and air-conditioning, a washer/dryer, linens, towels, beach towels, 8 bicycles, a new 2 person Kayak, satellite TV, a VCR, DVD, stereo, a CD, cassette, DVDs, videos, games, cards, books, and covered parking. a new gazebo at the waters edge. Arrive on the island by car, by private plane to the Cedar Key Airport (taxi service is available via the unicom frequency), or by boat -- into the Cedar Key Marina. Cedar Key is approximately 50 miles from Gainesville, 130 miles from Tampa, 145 miles from Orlando, 150 miles from Tallahassee, 130 miles from Jacksonville, and 370 miles from Miami.
Cedar Key amenities include fishing charters, guides, boat rentals, shopping, restaurants, and nature trails. Smoking is permitted outside. Pets are NOT allowed. Bring your your own beach towels.
