Curacao Villa Summary

This beautiful, roomy, holiday home is situated in quiet, secluded, and safe surroundings -- just ten minutes east of Willemstad. It's close to famous beaches -- Jan Thiel and Barbara Beach, and to the Sea-Aquarium. The house is situated on a 930-square-meter, walled property with a large, 2 private swimming pools (1st: 7x14 meters; 2nd: separate children's pool 3x4 meters) and a large, shaded deck. This very spacious house has two living rooms, a dining room, a very large kitchen conforming to European/American standards, and five bedrooms Amenities include all the appliances you're used to at home including a washer, dryer, TV, DVD player, a home cinema system, and a stereo. The kitchen has a large stove and refrigerator, a microwave, oven, dishwasher, toaster, blender and a coffeemaker. Kitchen has air conditioning. The two-story house has four large bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. And there's a 'European style' bathroom (toilet only) downstairs.

The island of Curacao is one of the Dutch Antilles and situated in front of Venezuela. Outside the hurricane belt, so no worries for cyclones. There is year round sunny weather, only some rain from November to February (showers only, mainly afternoon or night). The island is only 50 km from east to west, but has a lot to offer: national park, beautiful, cozy and sandy beaches all along the south coast with superb diving (mainly shore diving, no need for a boat!) and snorkeling. The beaches are quiet, even in high season. Willemstad is a beautiful town (Unesco World Heritage Site) with mix of Dutch architecture and Caribbean colours. Some 'Amsterdam' and a lot of Caribbean! Home is situated on the east side of Willemstad, in the neighbourhood of Girouette, a small 'cul de sac' with only luxury homes (no through-traffic). It is close to many famous beaches, the Sea Aquarium and downtown Willemstad with its beautiful houses, restaurants and other attractions.

The 5th bedroom is downstairs; all bedrooms have air conditioning. The house is situated in an area of large, luxury villas (called 'Girouette') and no pass-through traffic. The pool is available year-round (28 degrees C -- about 80 F). This home is conveniently located near the beautiful town of Willemstad (the Unesco World heritage site) -- where a mix of Caribbean and Dutch styles is displayed. Many beaches are nearby (ten minutes by car), where you can dive and snorkel in one of the most beautiful parts of the Caribbean. (Boats are not needed, as most diving is shore diving). Rental cars are available at a very modest cost; and they'll enable you explore the beautiful island, with all its surprises. This area is sunny year-round; and it's outside the hurricane-belt.

Water temperatures do not drop below 26 degrees C -- even in the 'coldest' months!
